2017 -2018 Cruise Ship season - a waste of time.

You will see many ULP people posting this to boast about the cruise ships coming to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. What are the truth about these Ship that will call in port Kingstown?

The truth is: these Cruise Ships are the lowest order in the range of cruise ships. These ships caters for the very poorest of the vacationers. These people do not have money to spend when they come ashore and there for they don't spend in the market, in the shops, the stores and or the restaurants, not that they don't want to, but because they literally cannot afford to spend. So the question is do these Cruise Ships coming to St. Vincent and the Grenadines do they have any financial benefits to the country? 

I say here they don't, because the ships pays a flat fate to call to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the come ashore and the walk with their food, can drinks, fruits and water in their bags from the ship to take care of their nutritional needs while they are ashore, that is why they rarely every buy anything whiles they are ashore.

The amount of Garbage the thousands of cruse shippers produce is not taken back onto the ships, they are left ashore and therefore must be collected. They often used other free facility like wash rooms etc. at the end of the day, the monies these cruise ship pay for docking in S.V.G is far less than the resources that they used up. But they will want you to believe that all of these cruise ship is actually benefiting St. Vincent and the Grenadines. 

They don't pay for entertainment, not because they don't want to they cannot afford to. So the enjoy the entertainment on board. They can handle afford to throw a quarter into the water for the divers who use to dive tourist boat. 

Currently there is no financial benefit to be gain for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, form the quality of cruise ship that calls to port Kingstown. It is important that the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines clean up Kingstown and the other tourist sites in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and go out and get some first class cruise ship to come to St. Vincent and the Grenadines that carries tourist who can afford and actually spend good money when they come ashore. People who will buy craft, eat at restaurants, purchase souvenirs, and patronized other business.
