The Big Four.
They were Keith Rock of Barrouallie, Steve King of Bottom Town/Rose Place, Taz Burgin of Montrose and Ord Ballentyne of Frenches. These guys ensure they get the day off from work, or they made it their business to get a couple hours off to attend the Sport meet at the end. But why, you may ask.
These four men love athletic, they trained all year round. At the time they were the four fastest men in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, at the 100 meters. There were no other outlet for them to compete. So they trained all year, waited patiently, and they looked forward to Secondary School Sport Season to come around.
For these men their diamond league were: the Girl High School sport day, the Boy Grammar School sport day, Convent School Sport day, St. Martens, Timmy, Emanuel Barrouallie etc school athletics meet.
Then they all went to their Olympic meet; which was: The Inter-Secondary School Athletic meet. When ever the announcement was made, "next will be the One hundred (100) Meters men invitational race." These men were ready.
Although the field was stacked with competitors, these four men stood out. Each man had a loyal and dedicated following, which made up primarily of: athletic enthusiast from their neighborhood who followed them around.
Their fans took the race much more serious than the athletes ever did. Everyone wanted to build up as much momentum in the individual school meet, to go into the Inter-Secondary School Sport meet at the top of their game.
There was an Isolated but interesting incident, I witnessed one year. The year I don't remember. At one of the School meet at Victoria Park, the Invitational race was about to start, Taz Burgin was missing.
The spectators began to ask where was Taz. Some people began to jokingly accused Taz of Running, because he knew he cannot beat, Rock, some said Ord, some people said King. It was nice clean fun, everyone was trying to put their guy over at Taz's experience. The truth was Taz was at work and could not left on this occasion.
However, there was one in the crowd who did not think. the crowd's ragging on Taz was funny. This young man was a prolific student athlete, also from the Montrose area, who graduated a year earlier. I guess, like the big four, he was bitten by the bug for running the others were bitten by. He was now confronted, with the same obstacle that attracted Ord, Taz, Rock, King and the other to the Secondary School Athletics Meet. No other opportunity to compete was available, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
A voice came out of nowhere and said, I will represent my brother. Out of the Crowd of onlookers; who were now gathered on the field, to get a close up and first hand view of the big race; walked Arbrey Burgin, spikes in hand as serious as a bull. Arbery still a teenager, voluntarily took on the responsibility not only to represent his community; but his family in defense of his brother's honor.
Arbrey did not win that race but, he was able to beat some of the regular, who were not mentioned in this piece. This marked Arbrey's introduction into the Secondary School Athletic Sport Invitational Circuit.
Have anything changes in SVG over the past 35 + years? Where is progress and we expect Shafiqua Maloney,Oly to win Gold.

Rohan Adams – A tennis Prodigy Part 1: By Chief Strong-Blood
By the time Rohan was about sixteen years old, He was known, in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Lawn tennis world as: rude, disrespectful and ungrateful. But was he? Or was there a blatant effort to black list this child?
Rohan Adams was also popularly known as Ku-man. The name Ku-man was a name that was given to Rohan, as a child to shame him. But Rohan like the champion he was, never made the name became a problem, instead he wore the name with pride.
Rohan was the Son of Ishmael and Millicent Adams of Cemetery Hill, in Kingstown St. Vincent and the Grenadines. He was one of five children. Unfortunately; for Rohan and the Adams Family, Ishmael Adams, the patriarch of the Adam's family became separated from his wife, when Rohan was still just a little tot.
Rohan Mother Mrs. Millicent Adams, was a: “stay at home mom” who subsidized her husband's salary as a dress maker or a Seamstress, to ensure their little family stayed afloat, especially during the rough times.
With the absence of Mr. Ishmael Adams, Mrs. Millicent Adams was left to carry the burden, of running the household and taking care of her children; all by herself. Ms. Adams always made sure her children had the basics. Shoes on their feet, clothes on their back; a roof over their head and food on the table. One good thing was, the House the Adams family called home was owned by them.
Like the other children who live in the Cemetery Hill and New Montrose area, The Old Montrose Tennis Center was where the boys hanged out and on the other side of the wall; was home to the Nutricia: Netball facility; here was where the girls hanged out.
Being around Tennis for all his life, Rohan developed a passion for the game of tennis at quite an early age. But Tennis was outside of Rohan's financial scope. Everything that was needed to play tennis was extremely expensive.
Back in the seventies, the eighties and the nineties (!970s, 1908s and 1990s) Tennis was known as the sport of the big shot. It was the Children of and the Mr. this and the Mr. That that played the sport; because they could afford, the equipment needed to play tennis.
However, because there was a tennis court within the area and their children spent a lot of quality time at the tennis court. Some parents often sacrifice and purchase for their children, as a Christmas gift, a tennis racquet and balls.
The child was responsible for taking care of the gift. It was critical they did also; because grips for the racquet were expensive, strings were expensive, to replace the strings were expensive, even to adjust the tension on your racquet string was expensive. A warp racquet could still be used, but it was worthless.
The tennis attire was never a problem; especially, for poor children, we all had short pants, we had T-shirts and we all had what was called a gym-booths and or soft-mash. The Gym-boots and or the Soft-mashes, were not tennis shoes; however, they were considered appropriate, for every form of physical activities.
A common occurrence at the Old Montrose Tennis Center was: someone often shouts-out, where is my racquet? Then the person will angrily ask Rohan: "Rohan whose racquet do you have there?" These declarations, brought little Ronah's game to an abrupt end. Rohan was a brave and fearless child, he always boldly walked up to the owners of the racquets, he was using without their permission and handed over the racquet to the owner.
Rohan was not a thief and he did not lie, not even to please those he was around. Ronah, had blunt honesty and truthfulness about him that often offend a lot of people.
The truth be told, no one wanted Rohan around the tennis courts, and no matter how much insults that were hauled at him, he never went away and he never stayed away. Rohan loved the game of tennis, and he wanted to play the game. Rohan was willing to do anything to play the game.
Rohan often became the ball boy, for people who were playing at the court. He often ran outside of the court, climb through a little hole in the Cemetery wall, a hole I am convinced, was made in the cemetery wall by Rohan, so he can easily get into the cemetery; to recover mishit balls for their owners.
All this was done by Rohan, in hopes, at the end of their tennis session, when he makes the request, one of the players, would have recognized, his effort on their behalf and allow him to use their racquets for a little while. Such was Rohan's commitment to learning and playing the game of tennis.
As it relates to the hole in the cemetery wall. I will be lying on Rohan, if I said, I saw, little Rohan, with a hammer and wall chisel, chipping away as he made a hole in the cemetery wall. However, a little hole mysteriously appeared in the cemetery wall; just above the foundation in the cemetery wall. The hole was just big enough for Rohan little body, to easily get into the cemetery to recover the mishit tennis balls.
And as Rohan's body grew bigger, the hole got bigger; however just big enough to allow Rohan's body to get in and out of the cemetery with very little ease.
Then all of a sudden; the hole in the cemetery wall stopped getting bigger. The hole in the cemetery wall; only stopped getting bigger, when Rohan grew big enough and was able to climb over the cemetery wall like everyone else. I am not saying Rohan made the hole in the cemetery wall, but it is hard for me not to believe he did not.
Then someone gave Rohan a used tennis Racquet, this became Rohan's prized possession. Now Rohan no longer come to the tennis court to bum a knock, he came with his own racquet and balls.
You may be asking how, did Rohan suddenly, able to afford balls? Well, if you are wondering Rohan's economic situation did not changed. But because Rohan now had a racquet, he no longer had to go into the cemetery to recover mishit balls for their owners.
Those mishit balls that were not recovered and those mishit balls the owners did not feel the need to go in search of and for. At the end of the day, Rohan went into the cemetery, located those balls and they became; the property of Rohan by default.
Rohan was often heckled by the other tennis players, they often jokingly said: "Rohan slept on the Lawn Tennis Court. This was so for the simple fact, the first person to get to and on the Tennis court in the morning was Rohan and the last person to leave the court in the evening or in the night was Rohan.
Mr. Ali Lynch who was responsible, for all things tennis at the New Montrose Tennis Center; lived about forty feet from the tennis court. The lynch's residence over looked the tennis court.
Rohan on the other hand, lived about what appeared to be, about two city blocks, from the court. Yet Ali could not get to the court before Rohan, no matter how hard he tried.
When Rohan was about twelve years old, the "Ugly Duckling" of the tennis world, emerged into the swan on the tennis court. all of the early morning and late evening at the court eventually paid off.
Rohan was always able to sneak his way into other people's tennis sessions. Because Rohan was always first at the tennis court. When people who made arrangement to meet at the court for an early morning knock, Rohan was always able to entice, the first of the pair, who arrange to meet, to knock up with him, so they will be warm up when their partner arrive.
If the partner no showed, then Rohan becomes their partner by default, for the morning session. When the later partner arrives, the early partner is all warmed up and slamming balls. but the late partner has to get warmed up.
As a result, the person joins Rohan on his side of the court as in a double and they all work together until the late partner is all warmed up. By the time they are ready to play; Rohan would have already gotten in, a morning session of tennis.
It came to a point where, many tennis players, who felt like an early morning or a late evening knock up and did not make any arrangement for the same. Just showed up to the court, knowing the kid will be there: ready, willing and able to give them a good run.

Rohan Adams – A tennis Prodigy Part 2: By Chief Strong-Blood
Words of Rohan Tennis abilities, began to spread far and wide, throughout the tennis community in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Now people began to show up, just to see Rohan play.
In St. Vincent and the Grenadines, in Lawn Tennis as in everything else. We have a lot of big fishes, in small ponds; who rule the small ponds like the sharks rule the ocean. However, whenever they leave the small pond and go into the little bigger pond and participate in regional activities; they are badly beaten and send packing.
Rohan on the other hand, even at that tender age, had the skill set, the mentality and the viciousness, on the Tennis court, not only to dominate in the small pond that was St. Vincent and the Grenadines, but he had what it took, to leave the small pond, fight with the sharks of the tennis world and prevail.
The people who saw Rohan played tennis, recognized something they have never seen before, in any of the local players. They saw a child with an awkward tennis court mannerism, who was still able to get the ball to follow his command. Rohan was skinny and not very strong; but he developed a technique, where he was able to leverage, the power his opponent, hit the ball with; to generate even more power and ball speed on the return, than he would naturally.
Ronah also had extremely good vision, Although Rohan Court Mannerism was awkward, his game had very little flaw. Recognizing the talent Rohan possessed, he became surrounded by Vultures, Hyenas and Wolves in sheep clothing. People who claimed they can and wanted to help him get to the next level: The International Tennis Circuit.
There was no way of knowing what their intentions were. However, there were some small red flags that no one took notice of. These people were all people of power and prestige, who were a part of the S.V.G tennis paternity. They stayed in the affluent part of their little world; who never lend a helping hand to anyone from the Ghetto.
We all knew Rohan had the skill set, the determination and the other attributes to make it on the International Tennis Circuit, but he needed a real coach, one who had the ability to look at Rohan's game, evaluate his game, his techniques, his court management etc. and help him perfect his craft.
Rohan also needed, a good tennis trainer, one who understood the game of tennis, who was able to help him develop and strengthen his active tennis muscles, his core strength and his Cardio Vascular conditioning.
Rohan also needed one person, to motivate him; one who was able to keep him hungry, one who can impressed upon him, the seriousness of the business and ignite a fire within him, that would have sparked a desire to win. One who would never let him become satisfied but always wanting more. More from his game, more victories, more accolades.
However, never more money. Although money was important, money was the worst motivator for someone like Rohan who had a natural love for the game. We all know, money always follows, hard work and success.
Unfortunately; none of the Vultures, Hyenas and or wolves in Sheep's clothing, had any of the prerequisites, to render to Rohan the help he needed. However, some of them had the means to get Rohan the help he needed if they wanted to.
Why would they help Rohan? Most of them were jealous of Rohan. They played tennis all of their lives, they had all the correct attire, gear and equipment needed for the game. They had coaches and trainers, ready access to tennis courts and access to gyms; and in some cases they provided the same for their children.
They nor their children, were able to attain, the level, the skill set and the techniques, Rohan: the kid; with an old racquet and a gym-boots was able to develop on his own. They all had some selfish reason for helping Rohan; some of the reasons were more sinister then others, however all of their reasons were selfish.
Most of these people were mediocre tennis players at best, who made a name for themselves, they played in the mediocre local tournament, against other mediocre and even more mediocre tennis players then themselves. They were not skilled enough, to help their children, their brothers and sisters and their little friends, who played tennis. How would they be able to help Rohan.
Some wanted to take credit for coaching Rohan. However, the only person, who can honestly take credit, for Rohan tennis abilities is a young girl, a teenager herself, a second form student of the Girls High School; by the name of Bronte Liverpool. Today she is known as Dr. Bronte Liverpool-Williams PhD.
No! Bronte did not take Rohan aside and taught him how to hold a tennis racquet, nor did she taught him how to correctly swing the tennis racquet, nor did she taught him, how to cover the court in a game, nor any of the skills Rohan became extremely good at.
However, when everyone was busy hauling insults at Rohan; reprimanding him not to touch their “expletive” racquets, calling him out of his name. Bronte always willingly, allow Rohan to use her racquet. Rohan was assured; as long as Bronte who also played Netball was at the Old Montrose Tennis Center; he did not have to bum a knock from anyone. Bronte always let Rohan know; if he needs to play, he can have the use of her racquet.
She was probably the only person, who never used Rohan alias, to call, or refer to Ronah. She also went on a one girl campaign; she tried to get others, to stop calling Rohan: by his now popular alias: Ku-man.
Bronte was my good friend, although she was just a teenager and I was several years her senior. She always said to me. "Allan I know it, if I was in Rohan's position, they would have treated me, in the same way they are treating Rohan.” That was one of the statements Bronte made, I was never able to argue with her about.
Now the Vultures, the Hyenas and the Wolves in sheep Clothing began to go to the Adams home, to request permission, for Rohan to go with them, to the Prospect Racquet Club and at the private island resort: the Young's Island resort, where they have reserved, a private court, so they can help Rohan, get to the next level, in his tennis pursuit.

Rohan Adams – A tennis Prodigy Part 3: By Chief Strong-Blood
Absolutely no one could or can, ever take credit for teaching Rohan how to play the game of Tennis. Let us not forget, Rohan was the "Ugly Duckling" of the Montrose Tennis Center, lest we all forget, Rohan learnt to play the game of Tennis, at the Montrose Tennis Center and with the exception of Dr. Bronte Liverpool-Williams no one wanted Rohan around.
The evidence, that Rohan was self-taught was exhibited in the way Rohan carried his racquet, when he was on the Tennis court. Even as a tall teenager, Ronah still carried his racquet on the court; like a child with a racquet that was too big for him. This characteristic about Ronah court mannerism; never changed and no matter how big, how strong and how good he got that remained the same.
Rohan slightly awkward or slightly unorthodox style of playing the game was also validating testimony, of one who was self-taught. The only way I can describe Rohan's tennis style is to say; for a lack of a better description; Rohan played what I called a "Bear Back Style" of Tennis.
What do I mean by a "bear back style?" picture a tennis player playing Tennis before the sophisticated tennis crown at Wimbledon (The British Open). That player took the court dressed in a nice pair of Tennis shoes, a beautiful pair white socks (stockings), and a well-tailored Tennis pants, but no shirt.
You know something is not right, something does not look right, but it does not matter; because their game is so Gad Darm entertaining. In your mind, you quickly began to qualify that which you are watching, to be normal. That was Rohan's slightly awkward style of playing Lawn Tennis.
The truth is, Mrs. Adams’ son played tennis, Mrs. Adams was too busy, trying to keep food on their table, shoes on their feet and clothes on her children's back, to be concerned with tennis. She was oblivious of the players in the St. Vincent and the Grenadines tennis world; the good the bad and the ugly.
The Vultures, the Hyenas and the Wolves in sheep clothing, came in three categories. There were those who wanted to test Rohan's skill, on the court, but they did not want it to be a public affair. Just in case Rohan was able to dismantle them, on the court; there will be no witnesses to the event. It will be their words against Rohan's words. From all reports, Rohan always dismantled or man handled them.
There were those who wanted Rohan, to feel some sense of loyalty to them and to credit them for their help, just in case, he made it to the big leagues. That was an insurance policy of recognition.
And there were those, who saw an innocent lad (boy), with no significant male figure in his life, with a trusting and naive mother, they can take advantage of. Then Rohan began to relate the story of him, going to the private resort island: Young's Island resort, his access to private tennis courts, stories of him and his big shot friends hanging out, not in the dining room at the resort, where he can get a free meal but at the bar.
Asked yourself this question, what does a teenager have doing in the company of so-call responsible adults, at a bar, at a private resort, where adults hangout and where adult beverages are served?
Bronte Became very concerned, when she heard these stories and I could remember Bronte saying to me. "Allan all of these people who claimed, they are helping Rohan; they are going to destroy that boy's life.
Rohan was too young and too naive to know, there is always a price tag, that comes with such generosity. A price that will be paid one way or the other. Then I heard whispers, of sexually inappropriate acts imposed upon Rohan by people, who were too important, to become involves in such a scandal and who were too prestigious to be publicly shamed.
Unfortunately, the people who Rohan trusted, with the information about the sexual inappropriate acts, which was imposed upon him, did not want to be associated with Rohan and the allegations he made.
As a matter of fact, these same people should have alerted Mrs. Adams, about some of the people, who showed up to her home, and showed interest in Rohan's tennis development. Some of them were noted homosexuals, with a history of luring young boys, into the dirty homosexual web they were always weaving.
These people, should have supported Rohan and his family at the least, they shouls have advised them, as to the appropriate course of actions, which should be taken; in order to properly address the issue at hand.
But instead, they acted safely, with an eye to take Rohan's place, and owned the favors and affections of the Vultures, Hyenas and the Wolves in Sheep's clothing, these people who were accused. The same people, they thought, could and would help them with their tennis careers.
It is only after Rohan spoke of his abuse, that the rumors began to be circulated within the tennis world. Rumors that accused Rohan of being rude, disrespectful and ungrateful. It is common and understood, that open rudeness and disrespect showed to an adult by a child, is one of the signs, a child or that child is dealing with, some form of emotional trauma; they don’t understand, trauma they don’t know how to deal with.
The child’s anger is normally aimed at the people who hurt them, the people who should have protected them but failed to protect them and those people the child knew, should have supported and help them through their problems but did not.
Rohan became ungrateful because, he outed his abusers. In these people sick minds, Rohan should have taken his sexual abuse, remained silence, and gone about his life, and pretended nothing happened and all is well.
That class of people (sexual abusers - homosexual) especially those with power, have very long memories. And they wield their powers with a vengeance, hence the reason: Rohan was never given the opportunity to work in his own country; and hence the reason, the disturbing news story that was carried, in the local regional and international media and social media.
Stories which were done by people who don’t know or should not care about Rohan and his little life; to an audience who don’t know or care about Rohan’s little life, they were all doing short insignificant segment about Ronah. Asked yourself why? They wanted to Shame this child even in his death as they did him in his short life.
In conclusion, Rohan's life and tennis career was not destroyed by drug use. But Rohan life was destroyed by unscrupulous men, with deranged, unhealthy and unnatural sexual appetite; who prayed on him.
In my opinion, Ronah used drugs; to remain sane. After all that child went through, as so early an age was enough to send anyone crazy. lest we forget most mental illness drugs are either opioid or narcotics. Psychologists get their patient extremely high on similar drugs as a treatment for their mental illness.

The Hard Truth - Prime Minister: Milton Cato - The Vincentian Dream.
Young men before they start their families, went aboard, worked extremely hard, spend very little, live frugally, save as much as they could. With their savings, they returned home, purchase a piece of land, build a modest home and then they went in pursuit of the girl of their dream, marry that girl and start their families; in that order.
Their whole purpose was to get a head start in their life; and the trip overseas gave them that start. In those days people went to places like Aruba, Guadalupe, Trinidad and Tobago etc. Later in the fifties (1950s) there was an invitation from England to her colonies to come to England for a better life. In the nineteen sixties (1960s) the invitation, came to come to America for the American Dreams.
The American dream was the same thing the English offered to her colonist; however, the American put a title on their invite, that really resonated with people. Like the British, the American dream was advertised as a life of quick wealth, and access to the same thing the wealthy had. The only condition was: to get there and it was all yours.
Many people left their families behind and traveled to the United Kingdom and the United States of America in pursuit of this dream they all heard of, of quick wealth. While family and friend at home, who were not afforded the opportunity to go overseas, all expected a life of ease and plenty of everything. After all Daddy, mommy, uncle, aunty, etc. are in England/America.
When the people who journeyed to their international destination, found out, there was no such better life; There was no American dream, It was just a lie told by those who extended the invite to get cheap labor, it was far too late; to return home; empty handed with an excuse. To many people depended upon them, at the least: for that parcel or barrel at Christmas, filled with food stuff and a few pieces of new and used clothen.
Instead of returning to their home land, with an excuse, ashamed and disappointing everyone, they stayed and tried to make the best of a bad situation. Keeping their family at home happy and expecting. In order to do this, many of them literally became salves to the White-man, and in the process they lose their souls.
As a result, they never return home to stay, as they planned, only on extremely short vacations, because of the shame and the stigma, they were force to carry; which resulted from what they had to do, to help the people they loved. Their conscience made it impossible, for them to face their family and friend the people they loved so much.
In St. Vincent and the Grenadines there was also another big dreamer. His name was Milton Cato, he is known as the Father of Statehood and later the Father of Independence. Mr. Cato had a dream for his people, not a pipe dream like the White men in England and the United States of America offered our parents, but a realistic dream that everyone could be a part of.
A dream that did not have attached to it the possibility of becoming slaves of losing your souls. One had to actively go in pursuit of such darming self-devastation.
As a child, I have on many occasions, heard Mr. Milton Cato speak to my father Hamilton of his dreams for a better St. Vincent and the Grenadines and how he was going to accomplished those dreams. What was interesting I was able to witness Mr. Milton Cato accomplished those dreams.
Milton Cato had a good kick start from Primer ET Joshua, who like Mr. Cato used his skills before politic to fight for the rights of Vincentians. Ebenezer Joshua as a trade unionist; who fraught for workers’ rights and Milton Cato who used his skills as an attorney, to ensure our people; were no longer prosecuted for worshiping God, as the Shaker Baptist did.
Primer Ebenezer T. Joshua put into place, the infrastructure and other elements that was needed, for the development of the Banana industry. Primer and later Prime Minister Milton Cato did not require to do much to aid the development of the Banana industries, but to let the ministry of Agriculture and the extension workers do their jobs.
Milton Cato's Primary dream was to see all Vincentian of working age, become gainfully employed and be able to take care of their families. It was a hard and daunting task but he was able to do it. At one stage of the History of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, between the years of 1967, and peeked in 1984, everyone in St. Vincent and the Grenadine who wanted to work got a job or could have found a job.
Milton Cato encouraged Vincentians to invest in their country. He tapped Vincentians with means or the ability to access means via loans etc. to invest in their country. This saw the coming on stream of the following companies that were labor intensive and employed a large cross section of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines community:
1. The flour Mills.
2. The Coco Cola Factory.
3. The Dimond Diary
4. The Glove Factory
5. The Sugar factory
6. The open of the industrial Estate at Campden Park that employed more than ten thousand Vincentians, at times in two or three shift depend on the time of the year and the international demand for their product.
The Campden Park Industrial Estate was a cleaver in its conception and in its presentation. Milton Cato built large empty factory shell, and he invited companies to come to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, to take advantage of the low value of the Eastern Caribbean dollar and the low minimum wage in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The Companies were given a couple hundred square feet of working space and they provided employment for thousands of Vincentians. Unlike today, where companies are given many archers of land and comparatively employ a few people.
The two most popular companies were:
a) Pico
b) (Sporting goods) Wilson Tennis Racket company
For many years, the Coconut oil factory that processed coconuts and converted the fruit into Soaps, solid and liquid (Baggas) and cooking oil; were a great source of employment for Vincentians.
The coconut oil factory was unique in its employment facets. The company employed a fairly large production staff, it also indirectly employed thousands of Vincentians, from around the country, who sold to the company the raw material need to produce the product.
However, by this time in the history of the Coconut factory, it mechanism was outdated and needed to be upgraded for it to yield a maximum profit. Unfortunately for the owners the operation was not profitable; and it was the owners intent, to close the doors of the operations and go out of business.
Prime Minister Cato understanding the important role this operation played in the life of a certain demographic (the rural poor) of our society he offered the operators some government subsidies, to make it worth the owners while to keep the factory open and bread on the table of hundreds of families.
On July 30th 1984, after Prime Minister Cato's Political party lost in the general election to the challenger the New Democratic Party. Milton Cato passed the baton onto James Mitchell to take St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Vincentian to the next level.
This proverbial baton was passed, when Milton Cato resigned from the parliamentary office and walked away from politics although he won his seat. He wanted to give the less competent James Mitchell the opportunity to take St. Vincent and the Grenadines to the next level as he did when he took over from E. T. Joshua.
Milton Cato as well as the Vincentian populace, underestimated James Mitchell's intent and his affection for the dominantly black community that makes up St. Vincent and the Grenadines. James Mitchell ran on the election promise to create One thousand (1000) Jobs in the first one hundred (100) days and the diversification of the Argo-industries.
It was a long way from 1865, Slavery was abolished in St. Vincent and the Grenadines one hundred and nineteen (119) ago. The Israelite (Black) population, the Calinago, the Garifuna and the East Indian had stop crying, we dried our last tears, we wiped the snot from our noses, we licked our wounds and we moved on. hand in hands with the children of the slave master in unity; together singing kumbaya.
Although James Mitchell were in the crow, holding hands with the victims of white oppression and singing loudly the words: kumbaya. What we did not understand was, the Slaver masters and their children were never contented, with our freedom and rise. The Israelites should have suspected something was wrong, when the oppressors refuse to employed the newly freed slaves and opt to bring in the East Indians instead. The East Indian who the oppressed and exploited on foreign soil. However, that was also a long time ago.
When James F. Mitchell, became Prime Minister, his hate was evident, Not just for Prime Minister Milton Cato but for the entire none white population. Like only a mad man motivated by hate could. PM James Mitchell forgot his promise and instead of creating a thousand (1000) job within the his first one hundred (100) days in office; he did the very opposite.
The man who we are forced to address as Sir. undo everything Milton Cato did. he put more than twenty thousand people on the unemployment line; within his first term in office. He did not care that the coconut oil factory were the sole bread earner for thousands of families in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
James Mitchell use the now defunct argument that coconut oil was unhealthy, which we knew was bull shit; and he took away the government subside, that kept the coconut industry going and in so doing he took the bread from mouths of thousands of Vincentians and their abilities to put food on their tables.
James Mitchell closed down all of the industries, his office give him authority to with no regard as to how his action affected the people who voted him into office. James Mitchell reported to the Cocoa Cola main office so-call irregularities with the operation in S.V.G. This cause the franchiser to stop the operation in S.V.G, pending the owner Rondalph Russell rectify the problems. by this time Mr. Russell who had his hands full, was too tired to go the extra mile. Over one hundred jobs were lost with that white move.
James Mitchell give to and encouraged selected shop keepers who supported him, in the Frenches and other areas, pieces of rusted metal, which they conveniently put into the package of sugar, to discredit the sugar factory and the quality of the product that came from the factory.
I could remember my father Hamilton questioning P.M. Cato about the allegations of people finding pieces of rusted metal in the sugar they purchased. Prime Minister Milton Cato assured my father, that it was impossible for that to happened. He also told my father his trusted friend, when he first heard of people discovering pieces of metal in the product that came from the Sugar factory, he paid a visit to the operation.
The workers showed P. M. Cato the process of sifting the sugar, the process by which they were able keep each grain of sugar the same size. As well as the process by which they can enlarge or reduce the sugar grain. and from his understanding and the technical staff explanation, it was totally improbable and impossible for any such metal to bypass the sifting process, Mr. Cato was also satisfied with the demonstration he was privilege to it was not possible for such to happen. The factory technical staff was sure someone (James Mitchell) was behind the defamation of the operations.
But how was the Prime Minister Cato going to quiet the fears of the people who were faced with a real problem, of rumors people were finding foreign object in their sugar. As a result, when James Mitchell became Prime Minister one of his first piece of business was to stop operation of the sugar factory and ship the factory back to Guyana at the expense of the people. Once again it did not matter to Sir. James Mitchell how this affected Sugar cane farmers, Cain cutters, factory workers, etc.
The truth is: "Prime Minister James F. Mitchell never create a job in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, however, he cause more than a significant fraction of our ninety thousand population who were gainfully employed; people of all races to become unemployed.
By this time in my young life. I became very good friends with Trade Unionist and General Secretary of the Commercial Technical and Allied Trade Union: Noel Jackson. This was while trad negotiation were going on between the workers of the Campden Park industrial Estate and the companies. Don't forget Noel Jackson is still alive this could be verified.
In one of our conversations I had with Mr. Jackson about his meeting with Prime Minister James Mitchell, with regard the negotiations with the various companies at the Industrial Estate. According to Noel Jackson: Prime Minister James Mitchell told him; If the companies cannot afford to operate in St. Vincent and the Grenadines they must go out of business.
This declaration was made without any consideration of how such will affect the workers at the Estate. However, when James Mitchell told the trade unionist who represented the workers at the Campden Park Industrial Estate this, one of whom was Noel Jackson, He felt he had the Prime Minister support with his actions. Unknown to Noel Jackson; Sir. James Mitchell had a more sinister plan up his short sleeves.
What was interesting is; some forty years or there about later; the companies who operated at the Industrial Estate, left our shores, they set up business in other countries, thousands of workers lost their only means of income, The condition in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have not changed, James Mitchell is dead. And most of the businesses that operated in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are still functioning and profitable.
The son of the Slave Master: James Mitchell was hell bent on seeing black Vincentians suffer; and he used his office as Prime Minister and the instruments of Government to ensure that happened. As a result of James Mitchell's actions thousands of people future became uncertain, many became homeless and panic ensued. This led to mass squatting and mass street vending a problem that still exist today.
Later when Prime Minister Mitchell was pushed out of office by the lawless Ralph Gonsalves. The now infamous "Grand Beach Accord" was one son of the slave master: A white man, handing over the operation of the colony, to another white man. Vincentians were doomed to failure and poverty under James Mitchell and Ralph Gonsalves.
The Hard Truth - Prime Minister: James Mitchell - A Criminal Saboteur.
We learnt on July 30th 1984, the Milton Cato's Labor Party Government lost the general election, to James Mitchell: New Democratic Party. James Mitchell ran on the political platform that he will create one thousand (1000) new jobs in the first one hundred (100) days, in political office as Prime Minister.
It must be noted, Sir. James Mitchell, failed to create any new jobs. even after his political party, controlled the resources of St. Vincent and the Grenadines for seventeen years. What is also important to note is, James Mitchell was the Prime Minister for those seventeen years, yet he never created a new job. Instead, his direct and indirect actions caused between ten to twenty thousand (10 - 20,000) Vincentians to lose their jobs. This number represents a very significant fraction in our comparatively small population.
We also learnt, there was a blatant effort to discredit the Sugar Factory and its operations. Someone who was suspected to be James Mitchell; distributed pieces of rusted metal to selected shopkeepers within the Kingstown area, with the instructions and who in turn, put the same into the packages of sugar, purchased by citizen of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
When he was question by my father Hamilton about the allegations of rusted metal showing up in the sugar, P.M. Cato, assured my father, it was impossible for that to happen. He also told my father, who was his trusted friend, when he first heard of people discovering pieces of metal in the product that came from the Sugar factory, he paid a visit to the sugar factory, to review the operations to see what could be done to improve the quality of the product.
The Sugar factory technical staff showed P. M. Cato, the process of sifting the sugar, the process by which they were able keep each grain of sugar the same size. As well as, the process by which they can enlarge or reduce the size of the sugar grains. From his understanding of the technical staff explanation, PM Cato was quite satisfied, it was totally improbable and impossible for any such metal to bypass the sifting process.
But why would the factory technical staff; lied about a flaw in the system, to the man, who has the authority, to order and ensure they get the finances needed, to correct the flaw? Why would they go out of their way, to accuse someone, naming ex Primer and the then leader of the opposition: James Mitchell, as their suspect, the one who was believed to sabotaged the credibility of the operation, of the Sugar factory in order to defamation the factory's operations?
Lest older heads forget and for the information of the younger people, who were too young to remember or those who were not born at the time of these events; lest they remain in ignorance; I will explain.
Sir James Mitchell was venomously against the coming on stream of the sugar factory project; from the time he learnt about it from PM Cato. Sir James, showed his total disapproval of the project. Therefore, to show his disapproval to the project; the Opposition Leader: James Mitchell started a one-man, nation-wide campaign, against the project. Opposition leader Mitchell traveled the length and the breath of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, bringing to the nation's attention, his disapproval of P.M. Cato's purchase of a Sugar Factory from Guyana.
Opposition Leader: James Mitchell’s talking point was as follows: "Prime Minister Cato is wasting Tax Payers money to buy an old sugar factory from Guyana". Opposition leader James Mitchell was disingenuous in his propagation of the information. He did not discuss anything else. It was clear Sir. James Mitchell had a bigger, dishonest agenda behind his campaign.
Sir James never touched on nor did he disputed the fact the Sugar factory would be responsible for the following:
1. The diversification of the nation's Agro-industrial, (It was here James Mitchell got his political promise of Agriculture Diversification).
2. Create even more employment for the citizen of St. Vincent and the Grenadines,
3. Get new farmers into the business of farming.
4. Provide hundreds of new Jobs direct
(a). factory workers
(b). Cane cutters
(c). Field hands,
(d). transportation workers etc.
The question is why did The Rt. Hon. Milton R. Cato purchased a decommissioned sugar factory from Guyana? Please remember I said decommissioned sugar factory. Decommission means - Taken out of service or operations,
The truth was; because of Milton Cato's vision and hard work, St. Vincent and the Grenadines economy, was doing extremely well, we were second strongest economy in the Caribbean; second only behind Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad and Tobago were ahead of us for two reasons. The first reason was like The Rt. Hon. Milton Cato, Trinidad and Tobago's Prime Minister Mr. Eric Williams was Vincentians (my mother’s very good friend from childhood to adult) and The twin island state suddenly became oil rich.
While St. Vincent and the Grenadines were experiencing very strong economic bloom the Guyana economy was badly ailing. The Guyana Government solicited help from St. Vincent and the Grenadines government as well as other Government within the region. Most of the other Government who could help found ways to. It is critically important you pay attention to this part of the discourse that will proceed.
Milton Cato wanted to answer the call for several reasons, to help one of our Caribbean neighbor and brother country in economic troubles and would also benefit St. Vincent and the Grenadines tremendously.
The Rt. Hon. Milton Cato was well aware of the long and stellar history and relationship St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Guyana shares and the way Guyana opened its doors, to the citizens of St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the nineteen fifties (1950s) and the nineteen sixties (1960s), when Guyana's economy was bursting at is seams. Their economy was doing extremely well.
Let us not forget Guyana is the Africa of the West. Not in size but in mineral and precious metal and precious stones. During this period of plenty in Guyana, many Vincentians went to Guyana as the custom were. They went to make a better life for themselves and their families. Although many return to St. Vincent and the Grenadines with years of monies the saved. Monies they accumulated, from their hard work in Guyana and their minor children.
I speak of people like the Gaymes of Layou and Kingstown the Olton and the Barker of Arnos Vale and the James of Georgetown in St. Vincent and the Grenadines; children who were born in Guyana. They also left behind many adult children, some who were born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and others who were born in Guyana, (My friend the Olton and the Barkers of Arnos Vale and the James of Georgetown in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, all still have siblings in Guyana to this date) who have become a part of the Guyana's tapestry and decided the will make Guyana their homes.
By the time the nineteen eighties (1980s) were ushered in, the Vincentian populations in Guyana had grown exponentially. It made up of original Vincentians who did not follow the tradition to return home but found their life partner in Guyana and opt to make Guyana their home.
I call to mind people like my father's little brother uncle Cecil Palmer; also known as "The Joker, one of St. Vincent and the Grenadines boxing champions and national boxer, who left St. Vincent and the Grenadines for Guyana in the nineteen fifties (1950s) and choose to make Guyana his home, after he got married to a Guyanese woman and started his family.
There were also a large population; of first, second and third generation Vincentians, who were born in Guyana all of whom had a legal claim to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
By the early nineteen eighties (1980s), the with the trouble within the Guyana's economy, there began an exodus of Vincentians, who lived in Guyana back to St. Vincent and the Grenadines with their families. As well as the children and Grand Children of Vincentians who were born in Guyana return to the land of their parent’s birth, the land they had a claim to.
There were those who had a claim to real estate, land and other properties that belonged to their parents and grandparents; their inheritance, they were returning to.
The Rt. Hon. Milton Cato knew if the repatriation of Vincentians from Guyana was not properly managed, it could put serious stress upon our booming but fragile economy, undo all the hard work he did and take away the good life Vincentians were experiencing at the time.
By this time in St. Vincent and the Grenadines there were many Vincentians that spoke with Guyanese accent. They found employment at the Campden Park Industrial Estate, as nurses, police officers, teachers, they were even street vendors.
This was one of the ways P.M Cato managed the repatriation to St. Vincent and the Grenadines of Vincentians who lived in Guyana and their families. In addition to other help, PM Cato purchased a decommissioned Sugar Factory from the Government of Guyana, for one million EC dollars. Far more than the factory was worth. Let it be known, the Sugar Factories were not decommissioned because they were old and unproductive; they were not.
However they were decommissioned, because Guyana had many sugar factories and with their economic decline; they could not afford to operate most of the factories. therefore, they were taken out of operations.
By this time in the History of Guyana, their dollar had been greatly devalued, therefore one million EC dollars went a very long way. With the help of the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the other Caribbean government and the hard work of Guyanese, their economy began to recover. It was the recovery of the Guyanese economy that stemmed, the full repatriation of nationals back to their country of origin.
Let it be known, St. Vincent and the Grenadines were not the only country that were being affected by the repatriation, which was resulted from the struggling Guyana economy. When Guyana was doing well, they opened their doors, to people from all over the Caribbean even Trinidadians and Tobago.
We can all conclude that Milton Cato was a thinking Prime Minister.

Larcenny Seaton the only Bad Ass Police officer I knew.
I have been a police officer in St. Vincent and the Grenadines for nine years, seven months and twenty two days. I did not do ten years, because, Instead of working, for the next five months, to make ten years and get the glorious gratuity. I took up an offer that paid me, the equivalent in the first month.
However, while I work in the capacity in SVG, I came across and I heard of some exceptionally talented police officer. I heard of the Military propensity of Reynold Hadaway AKA Sadam, and the elevation he made at the Regional Security Service, I have been on two missions with Sgt. Michael Charles AKA Crocus who rose to the rank of Commissioner of Police but is now retired. For my entire policing career, I have never met or saw, another police officer, who managed a mission like he did.
I heard of the talent of Ben Jackson, I heard of and I saw the marksmanship of P.C. Samuel the Gutty: may the lord bless the soul of out dearly departed. I have seen the fierceness of S. Sgt. Calvin Glasgow; and I have witness for myself the policing brilliance of Calbert Straker, Let it be known, there are many other police officer, I could mentioned, who carved out a name for themselves, in the world of policing.
However, there is no one, and I say no one, I have ever seen in action or heard of; who can be considered a Badass police officer, other than Larceny Seaton.
Let me explain, why I come to this conclusion. Come with me on a Journey to May 1996. I have just finished the longest police training course, in police History. I did the regular six months police training at the Police Training School, After we did six weeks pre-basic Special Service Unit training, under the Watchful eyes of Sgt. Arden Tannis and his team. I also did six weeks internship at the Questelles Police Station; which was a riot.
Within that period at Questelles, I had a hit put out on me. Thanks to Sgt. Mc. who told a drug ring leader, their troubles, with the Questelles police was because of me. That is a story for another time.
Now we were assigned, I was sent to the Transport Section of the SVG Police Force. Of course, It was not my intent or desire, to work there; However, when I arrived at the office and I saw Sergeant (Sgt.). Adam Billingy, who was in charge of the section, I did not mind. I knew Sgt. Billingy very well, but we were not friends. Sgt. Billingy was the man, who took me on the Road, for my road test, when I went for my driver’s license.
Within five minutes of that exam, Mr. Billingy told me, to pull the vehicle to the side of the Road. I said to myself. O my goodness, not even five minutes in to the Road test and I failed the exams. I waited patiently, to hear those words from Mr. Billingy, you are not ready, let be drive we are going back to the Station.
I sat and I waited, to hear those words. then the sergeant opened, his mouth. and he said. Listen to me Mr. Palmer, I can see you are nervous, Jill (Jillian Howard my driver tutor) will never send you to me, unless she is sure, you can drive well enough; to pass the exams.
Mr. Billingy continued, It is not my job to fail anyone, I am here to access your driving. Furthermore I have seen you and Jill driving many time and you looked relax and you drove very well. So relax, pretend I am Jill. When you are ready lets go he said.
I looked over at Sgt. Billingy, who sat in the pinion driver's seat, I did not see any boobs or that narrow cute face Jill has, I said to myself, he said to pretend he was Jill, this is going to take some serious imagination, but if I were going to past this test, I better began the process; of imagining Sgt. Billingy was Jill.
As soon as I began to drive the car, Mr. Billingy began a conversation with me. Before I know it, we were at Central Police Station (CPS), where we started. I was successful, completed the drivers exam and I obtaining my driver’s license.
Although, I did not want to work, at the Transportation Section, I was happy to be supervised by such a good man. On Monday Morning when I arrived at the Transportation office, after I was introduced to the Staff at the office, Sgt. Billingy went into the other office to use the phone. After which he marched right into Superintendent (SOP) Telemach's office. He spent about twenty or so minutes with the SOP.
When Billingy walked out of the SOP's office, he was arguing to the top of his voice, Anyone who knows Sgt. Billingy and knows him well enough, They will know he don't every shout in anger etc. I could hear his voice through the walls. He said, they are going to waste this guy's intelligence and talents at Transport Section. He should be assigned at CID or Special Branch. He did much better, than all of them, who are assigned to specialized department.
When Sgt. Billingy, opened the door to the office, he had regained his composure. After he took his seat, he jokingly said to senior constable Lionel James, "James we have a bright boy in the office. He further said: I called training school and they told me, Palmer was one of the few guys, who were at the top of the class in every subject area. They (training officers) also said they recommended that he be placed to work at CID or Special Branch; but they higher ups send him here.
After a long talk with me in the presence of senior constable: Lionel James, Sgt. Billingy left the office. Then James said to me, you see the kind of man we are working with. Sgt. Billingy, will put his neck on the block, for you if you ever get into trouble. So don't bring any negative attention to the office. Then Senior constable James, told me, of some problems he had, when everyone turned their back on him; Stg. Billingy, was the only man, who stood up for and by him.
James said to me, in his authoritative manner; Palmer, make sure you are always, to the office on time, make sure, you are clean and when you are out on duty, performed your duty to the best of your ability; because, everything we do, reflects on the Sergeant.
Then, James said another thing, Anywhere the Sergeant is going, it does not matter where; he always tell us where he is going. No matter where the Sergent said he is going, it is no bodies business but his. If the commissioner calls and asked for the Sergeant, and he asked you where Sgt. Billingy is.: there is only one answer to give. Sir the Sergeant is out on Duty. When he return I will let him know you called. Would you like for him to return your call; nothing more.
I did not want to work at the Transportation section but it was a blessing. Under Sgt. Billingy's supervision, I learn what working camaraderie was all about. I also got the opportunity to meet and work with many diplomat from all around the world. Sgt. Billingy prepared me, he trusted me and he give me the opportunities.
However, That was the events of Monday, on Friday a small transfer came out. my name was on the transfer to be transferred to beat and patrol. I was told to report to CPS on Saturday morning, to falling at 6:00 am.
When I reported to Beat and Patrol, Cpl. Edda Ambris was the None Commission Officer (NCO) in charged. After inspection and assignment of duties, I went into the station's office. She did not prepared any duties for me; for she did not know, I was now a part of her patrol unit.
While I was in the station's office, the Corporal said to me, Palmer, I am assigning you to work at the Grenadines Whaft with Seaton. She further said: Seaton is a good police, he can teach you, a lot about policing.
I did not know anything about Seaton; from going back and forth while I was in training. I saw Seaton, he was tall, strongly built, and a very intense fellow. My first impression of him was: he looked like, the kind of man, you don't want, to get in an entanglement of any kind with.
However, It seems like, this senior constable, offended the higher ups in some way. He had sixteen years police service, but still a constable. He was always picked upon by the senior officers. It matted not; how well this guy was dressed, and he always appeared sharp, Assistant Superintendent Charles, the late SOP Wright, or SOP Osbourne Quow always picked on him. They found something to criticized.
There was something about the Seaton dynamics that confused me. Although the senior officers picked on Seaton every day and treated him like shit, the constables gravitate to him. and here we have; the head of the patrol unit, referring to him as a very good police.
I remembered I heard Seaton said while in the Dormitories, when he was asked about the constant nagging of the higher ups. He said they can talk all the bull shit they want. That is what they are paid for, but the day anyone of them make a mistake and touch me, they are going to see the different.
When Seaton arrived in the Station Office. Cpl. Ambris said Seaton, I am sending Palmer to work with you at the Grenadines Whaft. teach him what he want to know about policing. Please bear mind all we had was our uniform that Identified us as police officers and a short wooden baton.
While we walked to our assignment posting, Seaton broke the ice, by asking me, what will you like to learn? I said, I will like to learn, how to deal with hostile situations. Well not in those words. I also told him; I can fight, but having a fight and dealing with a violent person, as a police officer is two different things. Seaton said ok then he went quiet.
Don't forget, the only tool we had as police officers, were the uniform we wore that identified us, as police officers, and a short wooden baton. There were no radio, no handcuffs, no pepper spray, no firearm, no police car.
When we got to the Grenadines Whaft, Senior Constable Seaton led, and I followed by providing assistance and doing anything he asked me too. The main responsibility was traffic control. Our uniform was enough law enforcement, for the orderly crowd, gather there, to conduct their business.
About 9:45 A.M. or there about, We received information, there is a man waving a knife about, cussing and issuing threats to a woman. Seaton and I, went to the area, at the back of: the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Marketing Corporation, where we saw a man waving a knife around. However, We did not see a woman, although in the man's utterance, he was addressing a female.
I was still following the lead of the senior constable, We approached the angry man with the knife. Seaton tried to communicate with the man; but he continued to argue, at the top of his voice, along the same topic. It was like he did not hear Seaton.
Seaton told the man, in his cool, unimposing manner, look brother, no harm is done, no one is injured, calm down and put away the knife, and continue about your business.
I don't know, which of Seaton's suggestion got his attention, whether it was for him to calm down or for him to put away the knife. However, the angry man; turned his attention to the police, after he ignored everything, said to him. He said in Vincentian dialect: "Officer, if you come too close to me, ah go stab yo!" This became his theme, he repeated this over and over: "Officer if you come too close to me ah go stab yo!"
I was not sure if Seaton heard or understood the threat the man issued, to the police. Before the bush lawyers began to argue, that is not a threat, he said if, his words is condition. However, a conditional declaration, is a threat if, the condition prevents someone, from doing, take part, or participate in some lawful activity or activities. As police officers, we had at the lease a duty to get the name of the man who broke the law.
Senor constable Seaton's emotions, facial expression, body language, tone of voice, did not changed not even a little bit. he continue to speak to the man, as if, he did not hear the threats, which came, from the man's mouth.
I was not afraid, for I did battle with knife wielding men and prevailed over them, at least this time, I had a short baton. In my mind I have already determined what I am going to do if the man attack us with his knife.
Just when the man was about to repeat his threats, on a bright sunny day, lightning struck. The knife wielding man was just about to repeat his threats, while he was in the middle of the word officer. The last thing I heard was Off- the word were abruptly cut off; like the air was knocked out of the man.
I stood there, trying to process what just took place. Then Seaton voice shook me back into reality. Palmer! get the knife! Palmer get the knife! Seaton said. I ran forward took the knife out of the man's hand and we effect an arrest. The End
I know you are wondering, what the F- happened? The best way, for me to help you, understand what happened. I want you to go onto YouTube; look up Bobby Lashley's finishing move the spear.
While the man was issuing his threats, without any warning, or signal to me. senior constable Seaton, launched forward like a rocket, he hit the man in his abdomen, with his shoulder, in the process; Seaton took hold of the man's knife hand, at the wrist, and in the same movement, he destabilized the left hand of the man.
Seaton is what you call a badass police officer and his action was what you call badass policing. This was all I needed. to set the tone for the rest of my policing career. SSU training taught me: how to hide behind a gun, Questelles taught me: how to be brave in numbers, but four hours under Seaton's tutorage; I learn with will and courage; you can make the toughest job easy.
The people who grow up with me, are fully aware. I am an excitement junky. I live for and I am totally in love with, the excitement that come from: dangerous situations. When I saw Seaton's actions, I became excited; his act of courage activated my excitement glands.
Hence the reason, when I was called, to deal with many dangerous situation, as a police officer; no matter the challenge, I never ran; I never back down. I have disarmed a machete wielding man, I have tackle men twice my size and arrested them, I came up against five youths, who thought they were bad and I dealt with them; honorably of course.
I have been on missions, where those with me, though the situation was to dangerous, for us to deal with; let us call S.S.U they say. I told them; we cannot leave the community unprotected and I single handedly, face the danger and dealt with the matter. I have never left a person or a community in danger and ran back to the station, because I was afraid.
What was interesting was, the following day, the Sunday morning, there was another transfer that came out; with one person on the transfer. I was once again transferred to Transport Sections.
I think, the Authorities knew, Seaton had some real police skills, within him, they did not want other to know about or to emulates. No wonder I hear P.C. Williams and PC Nero another intense son of a bitch: Nero, always referred to P.C. Seaton as the Riot Squad.
